Eric Dickerson Says If Bad Bunny Dislikes U.S., 'Keep His Ass In Puerto Rico'

Eric Dickerson has called on Bad Bunny to back out of the Super Bowl halftime performance if he truly dislikes the United States, stating the popular artist should “keep his ass where he’s at” if he has grievances about the American flag.

The NFL icon expressed his views strongly while speaking with a photographer at LAX on Monday night, mentioning he had caught wind of some remarks made by Bad Bunny about America. If those comments are accurate, he prefers any other artist to take the stage come February.

“I’m a proud American,” Dickerson stated. “If you have negative feelings about the U.S., just leave and don’t come here.”

When reminded that Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny’s home, is a U.S. territory, Dickerson reaffirmed his position.

“I recognize that Puerto Rico belongs to the U.S.,” said the former Rams star. “However, it’s not the U.S. in my eyes. That is just how I perceive it.”

Bad Bunny has previously stirred controversy in political affairs, having not only criticized Donald Trump, but also announcing that his “DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS” tour avoided venues in the continental U.S. due to concerns over possible ICE raids.

During his recent Saturday Night Live appearance, he stirred up headlines by stating those who don’t understand Spanish “have four months to learn.”

Clearly, Dickerson interprets Bad Bunny’s comments as negative toward the U.S.

“If Bad Bunny has made disparaging remarks about America, he shouldn’t come here to perform,” said Dickerson. “If that’s the case, simply don’t show up.”

“Stay in your country.”
