Former MLS star Aaron Boupendza, who played a crucial role in FC Cincinnati’s victory in the Supporters’ Shield in 2023, tragically passed away at the young age of 28 after falling from a balcony. The Gabonese native was currently playing for Zhejiang FC in China when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into Boupendza’s untimely death, considering it to be suspicious. The pro footballer began his career in 2015 and had stints with various clubs before joining FC Cincinnati, where he contributed significantly to the team’s success in the Eastern Conference and securing the Supporters’ Shield for the best regular-season record.
