Tove’s Latest Collection: Celebrating Britishness and Eccentricity

Camille Perry and Holly Wright of Tove made a strategic decision to skip a traditional fashion show this season in order to concentrate on expanding their global business, with a particular focus on the US and Middle East markets. As the creative director, Wright delved deep into what sets Tove apart from other minimalist womenswear brands around the world.

After much contemplation, Wright honed in on the brand’s British roots and the eccentricity and imperfections that characterize British culture. “As a nation, I believe we embrace individuality and quirks. This essence is deeply ingrained in our brand as well. We celebrate the beauty of independence, self-assuredness, and subtle rebellion,” Wright explained.

The result of this introspection was Tove’s most remarkable collection to date. The lineup featured a carefully curated selection of standout pieces that not only form a cohesive wardrobe but also offer endless styling possibilities, seamlessly transitioning from day to night. One of the standout pieces was the gray wool menswear trousers with a twisted bow front, which could be effortlessly paired with a matching shirt. The twisted bow waist detail was also echoed in the skirts, available in plum and turquoise crepe viscose.

Noteworthy mentions from the collection include the backless cashmere sweaters and the striking red wool skirt suit, both of which are expected to be popular among customers. For special occasions, Tove showcased a gold strapless column gown that draped elegantly, creating a fluid-like appearance, as well as three sculptural pieces—a jacket, a skirt, and a halter dress—crafted from red hand-cut, crinkled satin ribbon embroidered onto black silk for a striking contrast.

Debuting alongside the apparel was Tove’s newest accessory, the Ada bag. Available in three colorways—black croc made of calf leather, black, or brown nappa leather—the bag’s design bore a subtle resemblance to the classic bags carried by Queen Elizabeth II. This nod to British heritage added an endearing touch to the collection.
