Fox Entertainment Announces New Partnership with Dhar Mann Studios for Original Microdramas

Fox Entertainment has made a significant move in the world of microdramas by signing a multiyear deal with Dhar Mann Studios, the digital studio founded by the immensely popular creator Dhar Mann. This partnership will see the creation of a series of original scripted vertical-video shows, marking a new chapter in the entertainment industry.

Dhar Mann Studios will be responsible for producing an initial slate of 40 “narrative-driven” titles specifically designed for Holywater, the microdrama video platform in which Fox Entertainment has a stake. These shows will be exclusively available on Holywater’s My Drama app before being distributed worldwide through Fox Entertainment Global. The first of these original shows are set to premiere this spring.

Established in 2018, Dhar Mann Studios has amassed a large and diverse audience of over 163 million followers through its short-form scripted content on platforms like YouTube. The studio’s mission is to create inspirational narrative content that has a positive impact on people around the globe. Through this partnership with Fox and Holywater, Dhar Mann will maintain ownership and creative control over his original content.

Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Dhar Mann’s storytelling excellence and passionate audience have made him a powerful voice in entertainment. We are thrilled to expand Dhar Mann Studios’ reach and provide his fans with new, original vertical content.”

According to Dhar Mann Studios, their content has generated an impressive 20 billion views across various platforms. The studio operates a state-of-the-art 125,000-square-foot production facility in Burbank, California.

This partnership with Fox Entertainment marks Dhar Mann Studios’ first official venture into the rapidly growing vertical space. To spearhead production, the studio has appointed seasoned producer and development executive Erin McFarlane as the head of vertical content. McFarlane brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at SaltyTV.

Dhar Mann Studios CEO Sean Atkins, along with McFarlane, expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the creative freedom and resources provided by Fox Entertainment and Holywater. This partnership enables them to reach new audiences while maintaining the studio’s commitment to positive storytelling.

Holywater’s co-founders and co-CEOs, Bogdan Nesvit and Anatolii Kasianov, also shared their excitement about the partnership, highlighting their strategy to attract global creators and top-tier talent to vertical storytelling on a large scale.

In addition to this partnership, Fox Entertainment Studios recently secured a significant financing round of $22 million, further solidifying their commitment to original microdramas and vertical series for the Holywater platform. The studio is actively collaborating with other Hollywood studios, talent, and creators to develop innovative projects for Holywater’s growing audience.

The collaboration between Fox Entertainment, Dhar Mann Studios, and Holywater represents a significant step forward in the world of microdramas, promising fresh and engaging content for audiences worldwide. Stay tuned for the exciting new shows coming your way soon.
