To date, the program has awarded over $17.5 million to 249 organizations in 40 states.

Museums, archives, art institutions, artist residency programs, and community art centers are just a few examples of eligible applicants. Previous grantees can also apply for new projects or grant types, as long as they have not received three prior FCI awards.
Draft applications for Implementation Grants must be submitted by February 27, 2026, with final applications due by March 27, 2026, at 5pm (ET).
