Support for Officer Malissa Torres and Her Family

Following the tragic death of Chicago Police Officer Malissa Torres, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support her family during this difficult time. Torres, 34, leaves behind her husband, Niko, and their 10-year-old son, Mason.

Friends, co-workers, and loved ones are coming together to raise funds to help ease the financial burden that the family now faces. The campaign has already raised nearly $13,000 and any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated.

Officer Torres was known for her warm and kind nature, frequently seen at farmers markets, community meetings, and neighborhood events. Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd) described her as a welcoming soul who was well-loved by her peers.

Tragically, Torres was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the Near North district station. She was off-duty at the time, and her passing has deeply impacted the community.

If you have any information or anonymous tips related to this incident, you can contact CWBChicago via email at news@cwbchicago.com.

Let us continue to support Officer Torres’s family during this heartbreaking time.
