The highly anticipated Google Pixel 9a mid-range smartphone has been fully revealed through a comprehensive spec leak. Last week’s leaked renders gave us a glimpse of the phone’s design, and now the latest spec leak provides detailed information about its features and performance.

According to WinFuture, the Pixel 9a will boast a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2424 x 1080 and a 120Hz refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 1800 nits in HBM and 2700 nits in HDR scenarios, the display promises to deliver vivid and sharp visuals. The phone will be powered by a Tensor G4 processor, offering a significant performance boost compared to its predecessor.

In terms of memory, the Pixel 9a will come with 8GB of RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. While this is a slight downgrade from the Pixel 9, the processor’s efficiency should compensate for the lower RAM capacity. It will be interesting to see how Google’s AI features perform on the Pixel 9a with these specifications.

The camera setup on the Pixel 9a includes a new 48MP main sensor with OIS, accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view. The front camera will also feature a 13MP sensor, ensuring high-quality selfie shots. The phone is expected to pack a massive 5100mAh battery, the largest ever used in a Pixel device, with support for wireless charging.

Google’s commitment to providing software updates for up to seven years will continue with the Pixel 9a. The phone’s design, as revealed in the render leak, will feature dimensions of 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9mm and weigh 185.9g. It will be slightly larger than the Pixel 9 but maintain a similar thickness to the Pixel 8a. The Pixel 9a will also come with an IP68 rating for improved water resistance.

The phone will be available in four color options – Obsidian, Porcelain, Peony, and Iris. It will support Bluetooth 6, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and dual SIM functionality. The pricing for the Pixel 9a is rumored to start at €499, indicating a price cut from its predecessor. Google is expected to announce the Pixel 9a on 19 March, two months earlier than its usual Google I/O announcement.

Overall, the Pixel 9a promises to be a compelling mid-range smartphone with a powerful processor, impressive camera capabilities, and a long-lasting battery. Google’s commitment to software updates and improved design features make it a highly anticipated device in the market.
