The MLB offseason is always a time of excitement and anticipation for baseball fans. Teams are busy making moves to improve their rosters and set themselves up for success in the upcoming season. As we approach spring training, let’s take a closer look at the offseason moves made by each team in the NL East, NL Central, NL West, AL East, AL Central, and AL West.

Starting with the NL East, the Atlanta Braves have had a lackluster offseason so far, earning a D-minus grade. They lost key players Max Fried and Charlie Morton in free agency and failed to make significant upgrades to their roster. The Miami Marlins are in a rebuilding phase, focusing on developing their prospects for the future. The New York Mets, on the other hand, have had a stellar offseason, signing Juan Soto to a massive contract and bolstering their pitching staff. The Philadelphia Phillies made solid moves to improve their rotation and lineup, while the Washington Nationals made smaller, more conservative acquisitions.

Moving on to the NL Central, the Chicago Cubs have made some impressive moves, including signing Matthew Boyd and acquiring Cody Bellinger. The Cincinnati Reds have made strategic moves to strengthen their roster, including hiring Terry Francona as their manager. The Milwaukee Brewers have suffered losses in free agency but are banking on their pitching staff to lead them to success. The Pittsburgh Pirates have made modest improvements but still lack the firepower to compete at the top of the division. The St. Louis Cardinals have had a disappointing offseason, failing to make any significant moves.

In the NL West, the Arizona Diamondbacks have made a splash by signing Corbin Burnes to a massive contract, solidifying their rotation. The Colorado Rockies have focused on adding depth to their roster but still lack the firepower to compete at a high level. The Los Angeles Dodgers, coming off a World Series win, have made significant moves to strengthen their roster, including signing Blake Snell and Teoscar Hernández. The San Diego Padres have been inactive this offseason, failing to make any significant moves. The San Francisco Giants have made key acquisitions, including Willy Adames and Justin Verlander, to improve their roster.

In the AL East, the Baltimore Orioles have made significant signings to bolster their roster, including Tyler O’Neill and Charlie Morton. The Boston Red Sox have made strategic moves to strengthen their pitching staff and lineup. The New York Yankees have made significant signings, including Max Fried and Paul Goldschmidt, to solidify their roster. The Tampa Bay Rays have made modest moves to improve their roster but still have room for improvement. The Toronto Blue Jays have been unsuccessful in signing top free agents but have made some smaller acquisitions to strengthen their roster.

In the AL Central, the Chicago White Sox have made necessary moves to improve their roster, including trading for Jonathan India. The Cleveland Guardians have focused on improving their rotation and infield, making strategic moves to strengthen their roster. The Detroit Tigers have made key signings to improve their roster but still have work to do to compete at a high level. The Kansas City Royals have made significant moves to bolster their lineup and rotation. The Minnesota Twins have made modest moves this offseason but still have a strong roster.
