Hulu has just given viewers a sneak peek at the highly anticipated sequel series to “The Handmaid’s Tale” – “The Testaments.” Set to debut in April 2026, this new series is based on Margaret Atwood’s 2019 novel of the same name and takes place in the dystopian society of Gilead years after the events of the original show.
“The Testaments” follows a group of young women in Gilead who are coming of age and facing the grim future that lies ahead for them. Raised in a society where they have no memories of the outside world, these young women are on the brink of being married off and forced into lives of servitude. As they search for allies to help them fight for their freedom and a better life, they must navigate the challenges of their oppressive society.
