Heirlome’s Fall Collection: Embracing Cozy Chic
As winter finally made its presence known on the East Coast, Stephanie Suberville of Heirlome found inspiration in dressing for the cold. The harsh weather led her to focus on wearability and functionality in her latest collection.
Suberville’s vision of cozy attire was far from sloppy. She crafted a double-breasted coat from the softest camel hair, designed to fit long and lean on the body. Another standout piece was a wool cotton belted funnel-neck coat with a water-resistant finish, blending style with practicality.
For the fall season, Suberville shifted her focus to separates for daytime wear, reflecting her personal style preferences. She incorporated texture into her designs, such as a bouclé blazer with tassels at the neck and fringes at the hem of a bolero-length capelet. She also experimented with folding techniques on Japanese-inspired pants, showcasing her attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Collaboration has been a key element in Suberville’s work, and this season she partnered with Mexican artist Angelica Morelos to create unique prints. Morelos designed a conversational print and a geometric pattern, which Suberville translated into a jacquard fabric for her collection.
One of the standout pieces from Heirlome’s fall collection was the jersey options for evening wear. Suberville introduced a draped gown with an inbuilt stomacher, as well as a two-piece ensemble featuring a lampshade-shaped skirt, adding a touch of sophistication to the collection.
