Speaking English in a supportive environment can greatly benefit multilingual students by boosting their confidence, language skills, and sense of belonging. Everyday interactions, whether it’s chatting with a classmate or talking with family members, play a crucial role in developing strong communication skills. Providing students with opportunities for authentic conversations throughout the day is essential for their overall language development.
Our collaboration with Vista Higher Learning has resulted in the creation of 36 printable Social Scenario Task Cards. These cards are designed to facilitate real-world conversations with prompts for engaging with classmates, teachers, principals, family members, and members of the community. They offer students a unique way to practice meaningful conversations in various settings.
