Netflix is shaking things up this year by forgoing its traditional FYSEE: LA pop-up event in favor of a citywide festival experience for its annual Emmys showcase. Comedian John Mulaney made the announcement on Thursday, revealing that popular Netflix shows like “Adolescence,” “Black Mirror,” and “The Four Seasons” will be at the forefront of this exciting new format.

The festival will run from May 17 to June 2 and will feature a variety of events across multiple theaters in Los Angeles. A diverse lineup of shows will be highlighted, including “Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney,” “The Diplomat,” “A Man on the Inside,” “Big Mouth,” and “Squid Game,” among others. Additionally, Netflix documentaries such as “Will & Harper” and “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer” will be showcased during the festival.

A star-studded lineup of celebrities is set to make appearances at the Emmy FYC events, including Kristen Bell, Simone Biles, Ted Danson, Tina Fey, Jamie Foxx, and Kate Hudson. Special programming will be in collaboration with American Cinematheque and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, featuring career retrospectives for Adam Brody, Kate Hudson, and Ted Danson.

In addition to panel discussions and screenings, Netflix will host unique events like “Strong Black Contenders” and a comedy night in partnership with the Netflix Is a Joke Festival. The comedy event will feature performances from Jamie Foxx, Sarah Silverman, and other top comedians.

Major Netflix FYC events will be held on specific dates throughout the festival, including screenings of “Black Mirror,” “The Four Seasons,” “Adolescence,” and “Squid Game,” among others. These events will take place at various venues across Los Angeles, offering fans and industry professionals alike the chance to engage with their favorite Netflix shows and talent.
