Hoda Kotb is embarking on a new wellness journey and inspiring others to do the same. The former Today show host, aged 60, recently shared clips of her intense workout routine on Instagram. In the videos, Kotb can be seen lifting heavy barbells, throwing medicine balls, and pushing a weight sled under the guidance of her trainer, Brian Harrington.

Harrington praised Kotb’s dedication to fitness, stating that it has been a pleasure to be a part of her fitness and wellness journey. He mentioned that Kotb brings energy and excitement to her workouts, even at the early hour of 5:30 am. Harrington also promoted Kotb’s new health and wellness app, Joy 101, which she launched as part of her foray into the wellness industry.

Kotb bid farewell to the Today show in January to focus on developing her own wellness brand. She spoke about her passion for the wellness space, noting the positive impact it had on her overall well-being. Kotb emphasized how small changes in her daily routine had led to significant improvements in her health and happiness.

Returning to the Today show in May, Kotb officially launched Joy 101, her wellness business. The app offers a curated selection of programs including prayer, meditation, and sleep assistance. Kotb also plans to host retreats and courses as part of Joy 101’s offerings. She credited her former cohost, Jenna Bush Hager, for introducing her to breathwork, which ultimately sparked her interest in wellness.

In addition to the app, Joy 101 will host a JoyFest event in 2026 and organize in-person retreats for fans to connect with Kotb and other wellness experts. The Joy Collective, a group of diverse members including TV star Joanna Gaines, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, journalist Maria Shriver, and more, will contribute to the success of Joy 101.
