Schwartz noted that the overall vibe remained soft and natural, crediting Hadid’s healthy hair for the great results. “Thanks to her well-maintained color, we could keep the look simple, focusing solely on enhancing shine and her natural texture instead of going for drastic lightening,” he explains.

On the runway for Victoria’s Secret, Hadid showcased two striking outfits: a silky red lingerie ensemble paired with a flowing cape and a dazzling silver fringed getup adorned with oversized floral wings. Her voluminous blowout was crafted by Jawara Wauchope, featuring a deep side part for added volume and movement.

As a natural blonde, Hadid’s hairstyle drew inspiration from her childhood photographs. “We were channeling that iconic ’90s supermodel aura,” Schwartz shares. “The vision was a healthy, luminous, and touchable blonde that feels refined yet approachable, while still making a statement. The aim was to achieve that radiant, soft look with a hint of warmth and natural darker blonde depth to elevate the style to a runway-ready finish.”

If you’re hoping to refresh your blonde, Schwartz suggests highlights every 12-14 weeks and lifting the base every six weeks to maintain the brightness without excessive lightening, just as Hadid had. They relied on Schwarzkopf Professional’s Igora Royal to gently enhance and perfect her tone, providing a subtle lift while keeping the hair healthy and naturally beautiful.

Schwartz emphasizes that keeping this ‘supermodel blonde’ look involves focusing on tone and shine rather than excessively lightening hair. He advises using a gloss like Igora Vibrance Clear 0-0 to maintain that shimmering, glossy look between color appointments. Schwartz advocates using nourishing products like the new Rich Hydration Mask by Olaplex to preserve softness for weeks between salon visits—perfect for any occasion, from a first date to a movie premiere or runway event.

Reflecting on Hadid’s choice for a lighter hue, Schwartz observes a shift in trends among clients towards embracing their natural colors. “People are increasingly leaning towards shades that feel authentic and effortless,” he notes. “For Bella, her role as a model and a star makes this blonde a beautiful return to her roots, but with a contemporary twist.”
