Hull City are set to face off against Ipswich Town at the MKM Stadium in the EFL Championship on Tuesday. Hull currently sit in sixth place in the league table with 25 points, just one point ahead of Ipswich.

In their last four league games, Hull has secured two wins but suffered a 3-2 defeat against Queens Park Rangers in their previous outing. Despite taking the lead twice in the match through goals from Joe Gelhardt and Enis Destan, they ultimately succumbed to QPR’s comeback.

On the other hand, Ipswich Town has been on an upward trajectory, remaining unbeaten in their last five league games. Most recently, they played out a goalless draw against Wrexham.

In head-to-head matchups, Hull City has the advantage over Ipswich Town with 19 wins out of 41 encounters. However, Ipswich was unbeaten in their two meetings in the 2023-24 season, scoring three goals in each match.

Hull City boasts the second-best attacking record in the league this season, scoring 28 goals compared to Ipswich’s 26. Both teams have a history of high-scoring encounters, with three of their last four meetings producing over 2.5 goals.

Ipswich Town has been in fine form on the road, winning their last two away games and scoring a total of eight goals. In contrast, Hull City has struggled defensively, conceding 27 goals this season, the second-worst record in the Championship.

Looking ahead to the match, Hull will be without key players such as John Lundstram, Oli McBurnie, Liam Millar, and Matt Crooks, while Ipswich will miss Wes Burns, Alex Palmer, and Sammie Szmodics due to injuries.

Based on recent performances and the head-to-head record, Ipswich Town are predicted to edge out a narrow 2-1 victory over Hull City. Betting tips for the game include Ipswich Town to win, over 2.5 goals, both teams to score, and at least one goal to be scored in the second half.
