The son of Tina Turner and Ike Turner, Ike Turner Jr., has died, as reported by TMZ.
As shared by Tina’s niece, Jacqueline Bullock, Ike Jr. passed away on Saturday at a hospital in Los Angeles due to kidney failure. He had struggled with significant heart problems for many years and had recently experienced a stroke in early September.
Ike Jr. was born in 1958 to Ike Turner Sr. and Lorraine Taylor. Tina adopted him early in life, amidst the dynamic careers of his parents.
Following Tina’s separation from Ike Sr., Ike Jr. briefly served as her sound engineer, although this partnership lasted only a short while.
Ike Jr. was among four siblings tied to the legendary relationship of Tina and Ike. In recent years, he kept a low profile while still honoring the legacy of his parents. Ike Turner Sr. passed away in 2007, and Tina followed in 2023.
He was 67 years old.
