Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving emerged as a surprise star during the 2024 fantasy football season, becoming a league winner for many fantasy managers. Despite being a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Irving exceeded all expectations and provided RB1-level production for fantasy teams.

Irving initially started the season as the backup to Rachaad White but quickly earned a larger role in Week 6 against the New Orleans Saints. From that point on, Irving showcased his elite speed, dynamic running style, exceptional vision, ability to break tackles, and pass-catching skills. He averaged an impressive 16.9 PPR points per game for fantasy managers, solidifying himself as a fantasy stud.

By the end of the season, Irving had accumulated over 1,500 total yards and eight touchdowns for the Buccaneers, firmly establishing himself as the team’s RB1 heading into the 2025 season. His breakout performance not only made him a fantasy football standout but also a key player in the Buccaneers’ offense.

As fantasy drafts approach for the upcoming season, Irving is projected to be a top player in fantasy football. According to Fantasy Pros, Irving is ranked as the RB8 and the No. 27 overall player, making him a valuable asset that could be selected in the latter part of the third round. With Tampa Bay’s offense largely unchanged and the addition of WR Emeka Egbuka, Irving is poised to continue his success in a high-scoring and fantasy-relevant team.

Irving’s blend of talent and situation makes him a strong RB1 option in fantasy football, with the potential to compete for the overall RB1 spot this season. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on Irving as he looks to build on his incredible rookie campaign and solidify his status as a fantasy football star.

In conclusion, Bucky Irving’s fantasy outlook remains bright after a remarkable rookie season, and he is primed to be a top performer in fantasy football once again. As he continues to showcase his skills and thrive in a productive offense, Irving is a player to target in fantasy drafts and a player who could lead your team to success in the upcoming season.
