Jennifer Lawrence has sparked a heated discourse over the age-old dilemma from the series The Summer I Turned Pretty, specifically the contentious debate between Team Conrad and Team Jeremiah.

In an Instagram video shared by film distributor MUBI, the Oscar award-winning actress quipped, “I’ve been strictly forbidden by my friends to disclose this,” as she made her bold stance clear.

“I’m Team Jeremiah. I am,” she unabashedly admitted, casting a sidelong glance at her Die, My Love, co-star Robert Pattinson, who seemed blissfully unaware of the intense love triangle that has gripped audiences at Cousins Beach.

At 35, Lawrence candidly offered her opinion on the impending third and final season of the show, wherein the protagonist, Belly (Lola Tung), ultimately chooses Conrad (Christopher Briney). But, intriguingly, she gets engaged to his brother, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), prior to that choice.

Lawrence boldly asserted, “Conrad is toxic. He shows interest but then goes cold, leaving her in suspense.” This statement is sure to ruffle some feathers among fans of the character. “To declare your love mere hours before someone’s wedding? That’s morally questionable at best,” she added.

Acknowledging her potentially unpopular viewpoint, she remained steadfast, quipping, “I’m Team Jeremiah. Go ahead and roast me if you must.”

Interestingly, Pattinson, who himself had once navigated a similar love triangle in the Twilight saga, expressed his confusion regarding the buzz surrounding TSITP. “I keep meaning to watch it,” he admitted, revealing a gap in his pop culture repertoire.

While Lawrence is renowned for her performances in films like Silver Linings Playbook and The Hunger Games, she also has a passion for reality television, candidly declaring her enjoyment of the Real Housewives series.

Earlier this year, she professed her allegiance to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, stating, “They have done wonderfully to engage our interest, especially with the latest developments.”

Lawrence also applauded the season four finale of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which saw a dramatic confrontation involving cast member Monica Garcia and the controversial Reality Von Tease account.

“Kudos to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City for delivering what I believe is the finest finale in reality television history,” she declared, specifically referencing Heather Gay’s now-legendary remark about her “receipts, proof timeline.”
