Designer Juan Vidal has introduced his latest collection, “Edén,” which draws inspiration from a rapid journey to Istanbul. Vidal described the collection as an exploration of unity, showcasing how two seemingly disparate worlds can converge to produce something novel. He infused the collection with his characteristic blend of sensuality, spirituality, and cultural influences.
Reflecting on his brief 72-hour stay in Istanbul, Vidal recounted a significant moment when he encountered embroidered blankets in an antique shop. This discovery led him to appreciate the profound impact of craftsmanship, accumulation, and the memories embedded within objects.
The collection features fluid silhouettes and layered garments that artfully balance elegance and allure. The color scheme includes rich hues of red, pink, blue, and green, while unexpected combinations of prints, such as stripes and florals, create subtle contrasts. Elements like twists, ruffles, and playful proportions add a gentle three-dimensional texture to the designs.
