Incident Involving Vehicle and Protesters Raises Concerns

A man has reportedly driven through a crowd of leftist protesters at a “No Kings” rally near Washington, D.C., injuring at least one individual. This incident occurred amid a national wave of over 1,800 anti-ICE demonstrations organized by various groups today, as reported by .

Interestingly, the groups behind the protests have chosen to bypass D.C. itself, opting instead for a flagship march in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along with other demonstrations in nearby Maryland and Virginia towns bordering the District.

The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Joseph R. Checklick Jr.

In a grim twist, this incident follows a shocking crime involving a leftist appointee to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in Minnesota, who allegedly murdered a state lawmaker and her husband while attempting to kill another lawmaker and his spouse early Saturday morning. Some speculate this might be framed as a false flag operation aimed at placing blame on Republicans for violence against leftists.

This lawmaker had recently voted with Republican colleagues to cut healthcare access for adult undocumented immigrants just days before her tragic death.

Checklick reportedly drove through the crowd on James Madison Highway in Culpeper, Virginia, approximately 60 miles from Washington, D.C.

According to Fox 5 DC,

Officials confirm that he struck at least one individual with his vehicle.

Checklick Jr. has been arrested and charged with reckless driving, and he is currently being held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail.

Culpeper Democrats expressed gratitude on Facebook, thanking the Culpeper Police Department for their “swift response and for ensuring the safety of our protest.”

The “No Kings” rally was one of many that took place Saturday afternoon, coinciding with a large military parade in Washington, D.C., celebrating the Army’s 250th anniversary and President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.

This story is still developing.
