Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has recently found himself at the center of controversy after fellow streamer Louis “LosPollosTV’s” father criticized his new project, Streamer University, calling it a “money grab” and a “scam.” However, Cenat has hit back at these accusations, defending his initiative and clarifying the true nature of the program.

Streamer University was announced by Kai Cenat with a captivating Harry Potter-inspired trailer on May 6, 2025. The concept behind the project is to provide a weekend-long content creation school hosted by Cenat himself at a real college campus. The aim is to teach smaller streamers how to create engaging content and collaborate effectively within the streaming community. What sets Streamer University apart is that the experience is completely free for participants, who are offered an all-inclusive trip to live on the college campus without any cost.

In response to the criticism from LosPollosTV’s father, Cenat expressed his disappointment, particularly as he holds a great deal of respect for him. He emphasized his admiration for Los’ father and the impact of his words, stating that being labeled as a scam artist by someone he admires was disheartening.

During one of LosPollosTV’s Twitch streams, his father dismissed Streamer University as a money grab and likened it to comedy stand-up classes. He openly laughed at the idea of teaching someone how to be a streamer, believing it to be a dubious venture. However, Cenat defended his project by highlighting the fact that it is a cost-free experience, suggesting that the negative reaction stemmed from a lack of proper research.

Cenat addressed the issue by pointing out that some individuals may struggle to comprehend the concept of Streamer University due to its unconventional nature. Despite the skepticism, the initiative garnered significant interest, with an overwhelming number of applications received through the program’s website shortly after its launch, causing the website to crash due to the high traffic.

In conclusion, Kai Cenat remains committed to the vision of Streamer University and is determined to provide a valuable learning experience for aspiring streamers. While facing criticism from LosPollosTV’s father, Cenat stands by the integrity of his project and aims to prove its legitimacy through the success of the participants. As the controversy continues to unfold, it is clear that Streamer University has captured the attention of the streaming community and is poised to make a significant impact in the world of content creation.
