Karoline Vitto’s Innovative Approach to Fashion Showcases

In recent seasons, Karoline Vitto, a designer from London’s younger cohort, has been shaking up the traditional runway format with alternative collection showcases. For her fall collection, she opted for a look book reveal, and for spring, she went off-schedule with a show-photo-shoot hybrid. Instead of a typical Fashion Week event, she organized a unique experience that involved a day-long catwalk and video shoot, where members of her community were invited to participate. This interactive approach allowed customers and fans to engage with the brand in a more personal and meaningful way.

Community has always been at the forefront of Vitto’s brand ethos, with a strong emphasis on inclusive sizing. She has been a vocal advocate for diversity in sizing, challenging the industry norms. Her Spring 2026 collection was sampled on fitting models of size UK8 and size UK16, ensuring that the designs catered to a range of body types. Drawing inspiration from her travels to Sao Paulo, where she observed the local fashion culture, the collection focused on lightweight layers and effortless silhouettes.

The Spring 2026 collection featured three new shirts in cotton and viscose, showcasing easy and relaxed shapes. The trousers were updated with a reworked version of an archive design, offering a more relaxed and curved fit. Vitto also introduced more everyday pieces like boxer shorts and tank tops, emphasizing comfort and versatility. The collection included a variety of dresses with twisted and draped details, in vibrant colors like tamarind red and chartreuse.

While around 80 percent of Vitto’s production takes place in Brazil, her design process is influenced by both her native country and London. The response to her alternative showcase format has been overwhelmingly positive, with demand coming from both the UK and Brazil.
