Labrinth, the composer behind the music of the popular HBO series “Euphoria,” has made a surprising announcement on Instagram regarding his future involvement with the show. The third season of “Euphoria” is set to premiere on April 12, but Labrinth seems to be distancing himself from the project.

In a mysterious post on Thursday night, Labrinth expressed his frustration, stating, “I’m done with this industry. Fuck Columbia. Double fuck ‘Euphoria.’ I’m out. Thank you and good night x.” This abrupt declaration has left fans and industry insiders puzzled about the reasons behind Labrinth’s sudden decision.

Labrinth, who is currently signed to Columbia Records, has been responsible for the captivating score of “Euphoria” since its debut in 2019. However, for the upcoming season, it was announced that legendary composer Hans Zimmer would also be joining the team. Labrinth seemed optimistic about this collaboration, stating, “Another chapter in the ‘Euphoria’ universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season. Love x.”

Despite Labrinth’s public statement, representatives for Labrinth, HBO, and Columbia Records have not provided any clarification or comment on the matter. Fans have flooded Labrinth’s post with messages of support, praising his contributions to the show and urging him to continue making music.

Labrinth’s work on the “Euphoria” score and soundtrack has garnered widespread acclaim, with songs like “All for Us,” “Formula,” “Mount Everest,” and “Never Felt So Alone” featuring vocals from Billie Eilish, earning millions of streams. Labrinth’s musical talent has undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the atmosphere and emotional depth of the series.

As the premiere of “Euphoria” Season 3 approaches, the absence of Labrinth’s musical touch may leave fans wondering how the show’s sound will evolve without his unique contributions. Whether Labrinth’s departure will have a lasting impact on the show remains to be seen, but his influence on the “Euphoria” soundtrack will undoubtedly be remembered by fans and critics alike.
