Lil Reese is currently in police custody after an arrest warrant was issued for him nearly two weeks ago. The warrant was issued over allegations that he punched and strangled a former girlfriend. According to arrest records, the rapper was booked for aggravated assault of a family or household member in the early hours of Monday morning and was denied bond.
An eyewitness at The Address nightclub in Houston, Texas, where Lil Reese had a run-in with authorities, stated that officers were already at the club when the rapper arrived. It is unclear why the officers were stationed at the hotspot, but they closed in on Lil Reese once they caught wind of his presence and eventually apprehended him.
In a picture from the scene, Lil Reese can be seen being escorted to a cop car with his hands cuffed behind his back. He maintained a serious expression and appeared to stay tight-lipped during the arrest. His mugshot also showed him with a similar expression, keeping a straight face for the picture.
The booking comes after authorities began searching for Lil Reese following an alleged incident at The Pink House in Houston. The rapper allegedly punched his ex-girlfriend in the right cheek and attempted to choke her out after she rejected his advances during a run-in at the nightclub. The woman told police that she was left “gasping for air” after the assault and feared for her life. A friend of the woman allegedly witnessed the incident and called for security to intervene.
We have reached out to Lil Reese’s attorney, Carl Moore, for comment but have not received a response yet. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
