Lottie Woad Reflects on Maybank Championship Performance
English golfer Lottie Woad recently wrapped up her week at the Maybank Championship with a positive outlook, despite finishing T37 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, West Course. Woad ended the tournament 10 shots behind champion Miyu Yamashita, but she found plenty of positives to take away from the experience.
In a post on her Instagram account, Woad expressed her gratitude for the event, saying, “Thank you @maybankchampionship for a fun week! Survived the heat and played some solid golf 70, 72, 71, 67 (-8). Excited for a week off to work on some things before the final events of the year in Florida 🇺🇸☀️.”
Throughout the tournament, Woad showcased her skills on the course. She opened with a 2-under 70 on Thursday, followed by an even-par 72 in the second round. Her third round saw her card a 71 (-1), and she finished strong with a 67 (-5) on the final day, bringing her total score to 8-under for the week.
