Lucy Hale, known for her role as Aria Montgomery on the hit teen drama “Pretty Little Liars,” recently revealed that she had auditioned for the iconic role of Hannah Montana before it went to Miley Cyrus. In a Buzzfeed interview called “The Puppy Interview,” she shared that she had also auditioned for other popular movies like “Pitch Perfect,” “Hairspray,” and “50 Shades of Grey.”

The audition for “Hannah Montana” was a memorable experience for Hale, as it was the moment that sparked her desire to become an actress. Although she didn’t land the role, she fondly recalled the taped audition in Tennessee and how it inspired her career choice.

After missing out on “Hannah Montana,” Lucy Hale made her television debut at the age of 15 on the Nickelodeon show “Drake and Josh.” She played one of Drake’s dates in a small role that she humorously described as “groundbreaking.” Despite the nerves she felt during the audition, she joked that her career skyrocketed from that moment onwards.

Reflecting on the ups and downs of auditioning, Hale emphasized that for every successful role she lands, there are countless rejections along the way. She joked about going back through her journals to see all the auditions she had been turned down for, highlighting the resilience and perseverance required in the entertainment industry.

Lucy Hale’s journey from auditioning for “Hannah Montana” to becoming a successful actress on “Pretty Little Liars” and beyond is a testament to her talent and determination. Despite the setbacks and disappointments, she has continued to pursue her passion for acting and has carved out a successful career for herself in the entertainment industry.
