WWE continued to pay tribute to the late Hulk Hogan on RAW this past Monday with a 10-bell salute, similar to what was done on SmackDown the previous Friday. However, some notable names were missing from the segment, including Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, and The New Day. CM Punk and Jey Uso were among the big stars present for the tribute, along with Nick Hogan, Tana Lea, and Eric Bischoff.
In a fan-uploaded video on X (formerly Twitter), CM Punk can be seen trying to convince Bayley to join him at the front for the tribute. However, Bayley declined the offer, preferring to stay in the back and out of the spotlight. Despite this, Punk was joined by Jey Uso at the front, and the two shared a touching moment during the salute.
It was recently revealed on the Netflix series “WWE: Unreal” that CM Punk was originally planned to win the 2025 WWE Men’s Royal Rumble and challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, the creative team ultimately decided to have Jey Uso win the match instead, citing his momentum and the predictability of Punk winning from a fan’s perspective.
Despite not winning the Royal Rumble, CM Punk still main evented Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 in a triple-threat match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, which received critical acclaim. Bayley, on the other hand, has expressed frustration with WWE after being left off the SummerSlam card and missing out on other major events.
As the WWE continues to honor the legacy of Hulk Hogan, fans can expect more tributes and heartfelt moments in the coming weeks. The wrestling world continues to remember and celebrate the impact that Hogan had on the industry.
