Brooklyn Man Charged with Murder After Fatally Choking His Sister
A tragic incident unfolded in a Brooklyn apartment, where a 68-year-old man, Thomas Fagan, was charged with murder for fatally choking his younger sister, Mary Fagan, 64. The siblings shared a home on St. Johns Place near Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights, where Mary was found unresponsive in the living room on July 26.
Emergency Medical Services pronounced Mary dead at the scene, sparking an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise. Initially thought to be a natural death, further examination revealed bruising on Mary’s neck, indicating possible strangulation. The city Medical Examiner’s Office determined her cause of death to be homicide due to “compression of the neck.”
