Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently shared his strategy for catching some shut-eye aboard Air Force One without being disturbed by President Donald Trump.
According to Rubio, he retreats to an office with two couches and wraps himself up like a mummy in a blanket to conceal his identity. He explained to Washington correspondent Ben Terris that he wants Trump to think it’s just a staffer who has dozed off, not the secretary of state.
Rubio emphasized the importance of avoiding Trump’s prowling during flights, as the president is known for his minimal sleep habits. Trump has openly admitted to only needing a few hours of sleep each night, often reaching out to allies in the early hours of the morning.
