This week, the skies over the United States have been anything but ordinary, as a series of unusual aerial phenomena have captured the attention of both casual observers and conspiracy theorists alike.
In Pembroke, Massachusetts, resident Colleen McCormack found herself in the right place at the right time—or perhaps the wrong place, depending on your perspective. While enjoying a relaxing evening in her hot tub, she noticed an unidentified object plummeting from the sky.
McCormack, clearly channeling her inner amateur filmmaker, whipped out her phone and began recording the spectacle. “It looked like it was on fire or something and it was just coming down really fast,” she recounted, her heart presumably racing faster than the object itself.

According to Boston 25 News, McCormack managed to capture an eight-second video of the mysterious object, which she described as “strangely shaped.” She zoomed in to get a better look, further fueling the speculation surrounding this unexplained event.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was quick to respond—or rather, not respond. They stated they had not received any reports of debris in the area and, in a classic bureaucratic move, declined to comment on the video, citing their policy of not addressing third-party footage.
This sighting follows a recent uptick in fireball reports across the southeastern United States, with the American Meteor Society receiving over 140 accounts from residents across states like Georgia and Alabama. It seems the celestial event calendar is packed this week.
