Meta Collaborates with Prada for AI Smart Glasses

The latest buzz in the tech world is that Meta is teaming up with the renowned Italian high fashion brand, Prada, to develop a pair of cutting-edge AI smart glasses. According to a report by CNBC released on Tuesday, Meta’s collaboration with Prada is set to revolutionize the way we perceive wearable technology. While the official announcement date for Meta’s Prada smart glasses remains undisclosed, industry insiders are already abuzz with anticipation.

This groundbreaking partnership with Prada signifies Meta’s strategic move to expand its reach beyond its existing alliance with eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica. Up until now, Meta has primarily worked closely with EssilorLuxottica and its various brands. While Prada has a long-standing history of collaboration with EssilorLuxottica for eyewear production, the fashion brand is not owned by the company. Recently, Prada and EssilorLuxottica renewed their partnership, solidifying their commitment to innovation in the eyewear industry.

Meta has already made waves in the market with its Ray Ban Meta AI smart glasses, selling millions of units worldwide. In a recent development, Meta hinted at a collaboration with another EssilorLuxottica brand, Oakley. According to reports by Bloomberg, the upcoming Oakley smart glasses, expected to be unveiled soon, could come with a price tag of around $360.
