Michael Jackson’s Accusers Want $400MILLION Over Alleged Sexual Abuse… After 'Exposing' Singer on Controversial HBO Doc

The exact amount that Wade Robson and James Safechuck are seeking in their lawsuit remained unclear until recent court filings revealed it to be $400 million. This amount was disclosed during a separate legal proceeding involving expenses and fees related to the estate of the late pop icon.

As per US Weekly, the executors of Jackson’s estate, John Branca and John McClain, have been incurring substantial legal expenses due to ongoing litigation, including the fight against Robson and Safechuck’s lawsuit.

The lawsuit, originally filed in 2013, consists of allegations where Robson states he met Jackson at the young age of seven, claiming that the pop star sexually abused him over several years. Similarly, Safechuck recounts meeting Jackson during the 1988 Pepsi commercial shoot and alleges that it led to years of abuse.

Jackson, who passed away on June 25, 2009, faced allegations and was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005, maintaining his innocence until his death.

Both individuals presented their testimonies in the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, detailing the alleged abuse and their prolonged legal battle against Jackson’s estate.

Although an initial dismissal of their lawsuits occurred due to statutes of limitations, the situation changed when a new law was passed permitting survivors to file lawsuits regardless of when the alleged events took place.

Following the California Court of Appeals’ decision to reverse the earlier dismissal of the lawsuits, Robson and Safechuck now await their trial date.
