Shocking Attack: Mob of Teen E-Bikers Brutally Beat Random Stranger in Hermosa Beach

An alarming video has surfaced showing a group of teen e-bikers viciously assaulting a man in his 60s as he walked home through Hermosa Beach, California. The disturbing incident occurred late Friday night in an affluent neighborhood, leaving the victim battered and bruised.

The surveillance footage reveals that the man was surrounded by approximately six teenagers, with one of them demanding the pizza he was carrying. Without warning, the group launched a brutal attack on the unsuspecting pedestrian, punching, kicking, and stomping him to the ground. Shockingly, one of the assailants even struck him over the head with his own pizza box.

After the violent assault, the attackers fled the scene on their e-bikes, with some of them mistakenly believing that the victim was dead. One of the perpetrators even took a photo of the injured man before making their escape.

Witnesses reported hearing the teenagers plotting the attack moments before it occurred. Matt Terrill told Fox 11 that the group had gathered and discussed targeting a random stranger. “They met up here five minutes before and were talking about doing something. They wanted to ‘get someone,'” Terrill said.

The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, he has since been discharged, as confirmed by the Hermosa Beach Police Department.

Despite the severity of the attack, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not yet determined a motive for the assault. Residents in the area have expressed concerns about the presence of gangs riding e-bikes, with some describing them as a source of ongoing trouble.

Geoff Van Sickle, the owner of Strand Electric Bike Company in Hermosa Beach, highlighted the disruptive behavior of these groups, noting that they often operate in packs and ride non-street-legal electric dirt bikes.

In a similar incident, another local resident, Hart Cardozo, recounted a harrowing experience where he was ambushed by a group of teenagers, resulting in serious injuries. He emphasized the need for accountability and urged parents to be more aware of their children’s activities.

The Hermosa Police Department has launched investigations into both incidents, aiming to address the escalating concerns and ensure the safety of the community.
