Safety has always been a top priority for individuals, especially in a bustling city like New York. However, a new app called Protector is taking personal security to a whole new level by offering on-demand access to armed ex-military and law enforcement guards for everyday individuals.

The brainchild behind Protector is Nick Sarath, a 25-year-old CEO who aims to provide a sense of luxury and peace of mind to New Yorkers. The app, which launches in NYC and Los Angeles, allows users to book a Protector and a driver for $200 an hour. The price can vary depending on the client’s specific needs, such as additional security measures or a full motorcade.

Clients have the flexibility to choose how they want their Protectors dressed, whether it’s business formal, business casual, or “tactical casual.” They also have a selection of vehicles to choose from, including Cadillac Escalades and Chevy Suburbans.

While the app initially requires users to book the service a day in advance, Sarath plans to streamline the process for even faster access in the future. The goal of Protector is to simplify personal protection and provide a seamless experience for clients.

Influencers Josie Francis and Nicole Agner were among the first to test out the app, summoning a pair of Protectors in black SUVs to pick them up at Newark Airport. Their nonchalant TikTok video showcasing the experience quickly went viral, garnering over 10 million views.

All Protectors are licensed to carry concealed weapons and are armed while on duty, ensuring the safety and security of their clients. The Protectors are handpicked based on their years of experience and specialized units they have served in, including former members of the Air Force Pararescue, SWAT, SEAL teams, and Special Operations Forces.

One Protector named Jim, a former Los Angeles police officer and Marine Corps combat sniper, emphasized the importance of keeping clients safe and secure. For him, being a Protector is a natural fit, allowing clients to focus on their daily lives without worrying about their safety.

Protector offers a unique and high-end security solution for those who value their safety and peace of mind. With a team of experienced and skilled Protectors at the helm, individuals can navigate the city with confidence and luxury, knowing that their protection is in good hands.
