Nicole Kidman Spotted Wearing Wedding Ring Before Keith Urban Split

Nicole Kidman was recently seen sporting her wedding ring, a mere four days before the announcement of her separation from Keith Urban.

The Oscar-winning actress, now 58, graced a Clé de Peau Beauté event in Los Angeles on September 25, where her original wedding band, a vintage Cartier piece selected by Urban back in their 2006 nuptials, was prominently displayed in photos reported by E! News. Donning a sleek black Vivienne Westwood gown, she appeared alone but with a hint of marital nostalgia around her finger, despite also possessing a stunning emerald-cut diamond band she received in 2016.

Us Weekly confirmed on September 30 that Kidman and Urban had officially parted ways after nearly two decades of marriage. The couple, parents to daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, first crossed paths in 2005 at the G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles, four years post-Kidman’s divorce from Tom Cruise. Their whirlwind romance culminated in a wedding held in Manly, Australia, the following year.

To date, neither Kidman nor Urban has publicly commented on their separation. As of now, Us Weekly has sought statements from their representatives.

While the news of Kidman and Urban’s split may have perplexed some fans, a lack of recent social media interactions between the two seemed to hint at underlying issues—months have passed since their last joint photo, with Kidman’s last tribute to Urban appearing in June, marking their anniversary.

Urban, on the other hand, shared a photo of Kidman in May during the Academy of Country Music Awards, where he received the Triple Crown Award. His heartfelt speech included, “I love you, baby girl,” directed at Kidman while their daughters watched from home.

During his speech, Urban fondly expressed his gratitude, talking about his wife: “I love you, baby girl,” while also acknowledging their daughters watching during the event.

The last public appearance of this couple occurred on June 20 at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game in Nashville, just before the news of their separation emerged. Since then, Kidman has been hard at work filming Practical Magic 2 alongside Sandra Bullock, while Urban travels extensively on his High and Alive World Tour, with a performance scheduled for October 2 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Reflecting back, Urban shared during a tribute to Kidman at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala last year about the early trials of their marriage. He admitted, “We got married in June 2006, and barely four months into our marriage, my addictions… that I’d done really nothing about, blew our marriage to smithereens.” This moment of vulnerability captured not only his struggles but also Kidman’s strength as she chose love despite rolling waves of challenges.

“Nic pushed through every negative voice, I’m sure even some of her own, and she chose love,” Urban continued as he looked at her tearful face. “And here we are tonight, 18 years later.”
