The Redmagic 11 Air is the latest addition to the Redmagic gaming smartphone lineup, offering a slimmer and lighter alternative to the flagship Redmagic 11 Pro. With upgrades in hardware and cooling features, the 11 Air aims to provide a powerful gaming experience in a more compact package.

### Design & Build: Slimmer but still chunky

The Redmagic 11 Air boasts a solid metal and glass construction, with dimensions of 163.82mm x 76.54mm x 7.85mm and a weight of 207g. While it is still a substantial device, it feels comfortable in the hand and features the signature Redmagic design elements, including the illuminated logo and a futuristic pattern on the rear glass panel. The addition of a 24,000RPM fan for improved cooling sets it apart from its predecessor, the 10 Air.

### Screen & Speakers: Full screen fun

The Redmagic 11 Air features a 6.85-inch OLED display with a 2688 x 1216 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, providing a sharp and smooth viewing experience ideal for gaming. The under-screen selfie camera allows for a full-screen display without notches or punch-holes. The dual speaker setup delivers decent sound quality, but for the best audio experience, wireless headphones are recommended.

### Specs & Performance: Plenty of power onboard

Powered by a 4.32Ghz Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, Adreno 830 GPU, and RedCore R4 dedicated gaming chip, the Redmagic 11 Air offers top-of-the-line performance for gaming. With 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, the device handles demanding games with ease. The addition of shoulder triggers and Game Space software enhances the gaming experience further.

### Cameras: Capable but not class-leading

The Redmagic 11 Air features a 50Mp main camera and an 8Mp wide camera, delivering good quality images with quick focus and vibrant colors. The under-display 16Mp selfie camera has improved sharpness and offers decent selfie quality. While the device can capture footage up to 8K resolution, optimal results are achieved at 4K or 1080p.

### Battery Life & Charging: Bigger battery, longer playtime

Equipped with a 7,000mAh battery, the Redmagic 11 Air offers impressive battery life, lasting up to two days with regular use and 6-7 hours of gameplay on a single charge. The device supports 80W wired fast charging, providing a full charge in just over an hour.

### Software & Apps: Not too bloated and Game Space is great

Running on Android 16 with Redmagic OS 11, the Redmagic 11 Air offers a clean and customizable user experience. Game Space provides dedicated tools for gamers to enhance gameplay, manage screenshots, and optimize performance. The device comes with AI features for various tasks and minimal bloatware.

### Price & Availability

The Redmagic 11 Air is available in two configurations: 12GB+256GB for £439/$529 and 16GB+512GB for £529/$629. The device can be purchased from the Redmagic website. With no contract options currently available, users looking for a gaming-focused smartphone will find the Redmagic 11 Air to be a competitive choice.

### Should you buy the Redmagic 11 Air?

The Redmagic 11 Air offers a compelling mix of performance, design, and gaming features in a more compact form factor compared to the Redmagic 11 Pro. While the Pro model boasts additional specs and features, the 11 Air provides a comfortable and capable gaming experience at a lower price point. Ultimately, the choice between the two devices comes down to personal preference for comfort and speed.
