A shocking murder case unfolded in the Bronx as a 40-year-old ex-con, Muhammad Aadil, was charged with the murder of 46-year-old Lutalo Henderson. The gruesome crime involved the discovery of Henderson’s chopped-up body parts in a crockpot filled with bleach inside an apartment on Rogers Place near East 163rd Street in Longwood. Additionally, parts of Henderson’s remains were found in a burning shopping cart in Yonkers.

The investigation began when firefighters in Yonkers found a burning cart near the Oak Street Bridge, with a lifeless body nearby. It was believed that two individuals transported the remains from the Bronx to Yonkers on a Metro-North train, disembarking at the Mount Vernon West station in Westchester County.

Authorities found a gun and drug paraphernalia in the apartment where Henderson’s remains were discovered. Despite living at the same address, the relationship between Aadil and Henderson remains unclear. Neighbors described Henderson as a long-time resident who had roommates.

Aadil, with 11 prior arrests, faced charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, criminal possession of a controlled substance, concealment of a human corpse, and criminal possession of a firearm. His criminal record includes multiple state prison sentences related to drugs, with his most recent release from prison in 2019.

The case highlights the disturbing nature of the crime and the criminal history of the accused. The details of the investigation and the charges against Aadil shed light on the complexity of the case and the challenges faced by law enforcement in solving such heinous crimes.
