The tragic murder of a married couple at Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas has left their family devastated and the community in shock. Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were brutally killed while hiking with their two young daughters, ages 7 and 9. The couple’s screams alerted authorities to the horrific crime, with police audio suggesting they were stabbed to death.

The Brink family has described Clinton and Cristen as heroes who died protecting their little girls. In a statement to ABC News, the family expressed their grief and called for justice for the slain couple. They have asked for privacy as they navigate this unimaginable loss and urged anyone with information about the case to come forward.

Authorities have not released details about how the parents were killed, but reports indicate that the incident occurred on a remote trail in the park. Responding to a call about a possible stabbing, police arrived at the scene to find the couple deceased and their killer on the run. Despite a massive manhunt, the suspect remains at large.

The Brink daughters, fortunately, escaped unharmed and are now in the care of family members. It is unclear if the murders were targeted, as the couple had recently relocated to Arkansas from out of state. The suspect, described as a man wearing specific clothing and driving a black sedan, was last seen leaving the park with a covered license plate.

The remote and rugged terrain of Devil’s Den State Park has posed challenges for law enforcement in the search for the killer. With thick vegetation and no cellphone service, the area has made the investigation difficult. Despite these obstacles, authorities are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice and provide closure for the Brink family.

As the community mourns the loss of Clinton and Cristen Brink, their memory lives on as brave parents who sacrificed their lives to protect their children. The tragic events at Devil’s Den serve as a reminder of the importance of safety and vigilance, even in the most serene of settings.
