Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Pauline Kelley, has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons this year. Kelley, 28, was arrested for the third time in 2024, this time in Albemarle County, Virginia, for allegedly stealing a van belonging to the Ground Zero Church of the Nazarene. The church confirmed the theft on a GoFundMe page, stating that the van was valued at $3,800 and was deemed a total loss after being damaged during the theft.
The lead pastor of the church, Kent Hart, expressed forgiveness towards Kelley despite the loss suffered by the church. The fundraising page set up by the church has raised over $2,000 towards its $30,000 goal. Hart emphasized that the church is focused on forgiveness and trusting the Lord to provide for their needs.
Hart recounted the incident of the theft, stating that he saw his van leaving the driveway and chased it down, only to find Kelley behind the wheel. He described Kelley as not being in her right mind and possibly under the influence of drugs. The chase continued onto Virginia Route 20, where police officer Corey Legg intervened and confirmed Kelley as the driver of the stolen van.
According to Legg’s report, Kelley asked to be committed to a mental institution and was later found to have tested positive for heroin. She now faces seven charges, including three counts of felony grand larceny. Despite the ordeal, the church community continues to show support and forgiveness towards Kelley, hoping for her to get the help she needs.
This latest arrest adds to a string of troubling incidents involving Kelley, including a previous arrest for indecent exposure in Alabama. Wynonna Judd, Kelley’s mother, has yet to publicly comment on her daughter’s recent troubles. As the legal process unfolds, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Grace Pauline Kelley and her ongoing struggles. Grace Pauline Kelly, the daughter of country music star Wynonna Judd and her ex-husband Arch Kelley III, has been facing legal troubles in recent months. According to reports from the Albemarle County Police Department, Kelley was charged with driving without a license, destruction of property with intent, failure to use headlights, and setting in motion a vehicle with intent to commit a crime.
In addition to these charges, Kelley has had a series of run-ins with the law. In April, she was arrested in Alabama for allegedly flashing drivers on the highway. She was charged with soliciting prostitution, indecent exposure, and obstructing governmental operations. Subsequent court documents revealed that the soliciting prostitution charge was dropped, and the indecent exposure charge was reduced to public lewdness.
A few months later, Kelley found herself in trouble again, this time in Georgia. She was booked in Carroll County Jail on three counts, including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving with a suspended/revoked license, and not using motorcycle equipment properly. She was released on $2,750 bond the following day.
According to reports, Kelley pleaded guilty to public lewdness and obstructing government operations. She paid a fine of $200 for the former charge, and her 90-day jail sentence was suspended. However, she was placed in jail for 60 days for the latter charge and was released on May 23.
Despite these legal issues, Kelley’s mother, Wynonna Judd, has not yet commented on the situation. It remains to be seen how Kelley will navigate these challenges and move forward from her legal troubles. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
