This week, TIME Magazine, which seems to lose relevance with each passing year, featured President Trump on its cover amidst a remarkable development: the unprecedented conclusion of the Hamas-Israel conflict and a new dawn of peace in the Middle East.

However, the magazine chose a rather unflattering angle for the cover photo, accentuating Trump’s neck veins and capturing him with a less-than-flattering focus that appears to peer up his nostrils.

One might say TIME’s editorial team is in a perpetual adolescence, much like a troublesome seventh-grader eager to land a mean-spirited jab.

Time magazine cover featuring Donald Trump looking upward, with a red border and headlines discussing his leadership and insights on Israel and Gaza.

In a groundbreaking diplomatic move, living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been released under the initial phase of Trump’s peace plan, paired with the liberation of Palestinian prisoners. This initiative could define Trump’s legacy should he secure a second term and reshape the strategic landscape of the Middle East.

TIME tweeted on October 13, 2025, “The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been freed under the first phase of Donald Trump’s peace plan, alongside a Palestinian prisoner release. The deal may become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term.” pic.twitter.com/0bZDABIDGj

In an embarrassing twist, Kari Lake urged conservatives to circulate a more straightforward depiction of Trump, rather than the questionable portrayal by the magazine.

“Share this cover so that the world sees the strength of our great President Trump instead of the one the fake news Time magazine put out.”

TIME Magazine’s penchant for portraying Trump in an unflattering light is familiar territory. This incident mirrors a similar cover from June 2018, which depicted Trump gazing down at a crying Honduran child, implied to have been separated from her mother.

This poignant image was manipulated by the liberal media and leftist activists to criticize the Trump administration’s hardline immigration policies.

However, the truth revealed a more complicated narrative:

Reports indicate that the mother had previously abandoned her husband and three children in Honduras, having been deported in 2013. The separation never occurred, as she orchestrated her return with the help of a paid smuggler.

TIME later issued a correction regarding their misleading cover.

In a bizarre illustrative choice, TIME once published a cover suggesting that Trump was drowning, visually representing his supposed political turmoil.

A man in a suit is submerged underwater, with office items floating around him, symbolizing a sinking feeling in a professional environment.

Another cover dated October 24, 2016, exhibited a drippy, exaggerated representation of Trump under the bold headline, “Total Meltdown.”

Cover of Time magazine featuring the headline "Total Meltdown" with a dripping orange and yellow graphic on a black background, dated October 24, 2016.

In essence, TIME seems to overestimate its cleverness, while Trump steadily proves himself to be a remarkably effective peace-maker.

It is worth noting that this disparaging treatment is not exclusive to Trump. As reported by Mediaite, photographer Jill Greenberg once openly confessed that her intention was to make Glenn Beck appear unflattering for a TIME cover story.

The New York Post reported on this last year.
