ACCELERATING INNOVATION IN AMERICA’S FOOD SUPPLY: Today, President Donald J. Trump enacted an Executive Order designed to propel the modernization of American agriculture, thereby empowering farmers and ranchers while enhancing the robustness and security of the nation’s food supply.
- The Order instructs the Secretary of Agriculture to broaden the scope of the Department of Agriculture’s Regenerative Agriculture Pilot Program. This includes sharing outcomes with stakeholders and forming public-private partnerships to boost the capacity for farmers interested in regenerative farming practices.
- The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency is directed by the Order to prioritize the registration of alternative crop protection tools and to review data on pre-harvest desiccation uses to ensure they meet safety and labeling standards.
- The Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency are charged with developing research methodologies and frameworks to enhance scientific understanding of the effects of cumulative exposure across chemical classes regulated in the food supply.
- The Secretary of Health and Human Services is tasked with identifying innovative solutions to evaluate the exposure, diagnosis, and treatment of cumulative chemical exposures on individual health, as well as prioritizing research into new, cost-effective alternatives to traditional crop protection methods.
STRENGTHENING FOOD SECURITY AND PRODUCTION: President Trump is taking steps to empower American farmers and ranchers, ensuring the nation’s food supply is the healthiest, most plentiful, and most affordable worldwide.
- There is a growing interest among American farmers and ranchers in adopting innovative conservation methods like regenerative agriculture, which improve soil health, lower input costs, and enhance chemical efficiency to reduce overall usage, thereby strengthening farm resilience.
- The Order supports ongoing efforts by the Administration to implement precision agriculture solutions that maintain local and practical decision-making while avoiding onerous mandates.
- President Trump and his Administration are committed to providing American farmers and ranchers with unfettered access to cost-effective, new technologies that enhance production capacity and support the nation’s long-term food supply.
- By providing new tools, President Trump is enabling America’s farmers and ranchers to efficiently feed the nation and bolster rural economies.
MAKING AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN: President Trump is fulfilling his promise to change the existing system to ensure that all Americans enjoy longer, healthier lives, supported by systems that emphasize prevention, well-being, and resilience.
- In February 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order to establish the President’s Make America Healthy Again Commission.
- In May 2025, the Make America Healthy Again Commission published its Make Our Children Healthy Again Assessment, followed by the release of its Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy in September 2025.
- Earlier this year, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Agriculture, and the Environmental Protection Agency collectively invested over $1 billion to accelerate the modernization of farms and secure the long-term food supply.
