On his Truth Social account, Trump expressed disbelief at ABC’s choice to bring back Kimmel, stating, “I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. The White House was told that his show was canceled! Something changed between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his so-called ‘talent’ was never substantial. Why would they want back someone with such dismal ratings, who isn’t funny, and who puts the Network at risk by promoting a 99% positive Democratic agenda? Kimmel is just another extension of the DNC, which, as I understand it, might even qualify as a significant illegal campaign contribution. We’re planning to see how ABC handles this. The last time I challenged them, I walked away with $16 million—this one could be even juicier. They’re a true bunch of losers! Let Kimmel stew in his poor ratings,” he remarked.

Just a day prior, ABC made headlines by announcing Kimmel’s return to the airwaves, despite the network’s initial decision to suspend his show. The tension reached another level when Sinclair Broadcast Group declared it would not air ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on its ABC affiliates due to this controversial backtrack.

Following Sinclair’s lead, Nexstar Media Group joined the fray with a similar announcement, opting not to broadcast Kimmel’s show. With Nexstar managing 32 ABC affiliate stations and Sinclair overseeing 30, this sends a strong message across the broadcasting landscape.

Meanwhile, Kimmel was spotted returning to the studio amid this brewing network standoff.
