The 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival kicked off with a glamorous ceremony at the Grimaldi Forum, opened by Prince Albert II of Monaco. The event honored “Gen V” star Jaz Sinclair and French actor Pierre Arditi, with a star-studded blue carpet featuring celebrities like Judith Light, Rachel Griffiths, Sope Dirisu, and Morris Chestnut.

In his opening speech, Prince Albert highlighted the festival’s six-decade legacy of showcasing the evolution of audiovisual production. He emphasized the importance of access to rich content in the television industry and praised the festival as a platform for innovation, creativity, and talent from around the world.

The ceremony, hosted by Genie Godula, introduced the juries of the Golden Nymph Awards. The fiction jury, led by Judith Light, included esteemed members like Rachel Griffiths and Sarah Rafferty. The news and documentaries jury, chaired by French journalist Mireille Dumas, featured a panel of industry experts.

Jaz Sinclair was awarded the International Golden Nymph for most promising talent, while Pierre Arditi received the Crystal Nymph Award for his exceptional television career. The evening concluded with a presentation of the series “Watson,” starring Morris Chestnut. The medical drama, produced by CBS Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution, offers a modern twist on Sherlock Holmes’ partner, focusing on solving medical mysteries.

Overall, the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival celebrated the best in television talent and content, showcasing a diverse and international lineup of shows and professionals. The event continues to be a premier platform for recognizing excellence in the industry and fostering creativity and innovation in television.
