Wife Files For Divorce

Rapper Kevin Gates is facing a challenging time as his wife, Dreka Gates, has officially filed for divorce.
Dreka Gates, who previously managed Kevin, took the step to initiate divorce proceedings after being married to Kevin for 9 years.
In the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Dreka cited the date of separation as July 10, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the marital split.
The couple shares two minor children, 12-year-old Islah and 11-year-old Khaza, with Dreka seeking joint legal and physical custody of the kids.
Dreka is also requesting spousal support while indicating that she does not want the court to award any spousal support to Kevin.
It remains uncertain whether a prenuptial agreement was in place between the couple.
Kevin and Dreka tied the knot in October 2015, making the divorce filing just a few months before what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary.
In response to inquiries, Kevin’s representative stated that Kevin is choosing not to comment on the situation at this time.
