Meta has just unveiled a major update to the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, with exciting new features and enhancements on the horizon.

In a recent blog post on their official website, Meta shared details about the latest developments surrounding the Ray-Ban Meta glasses. These include new frame options and AI-powered features that aim to enhance the overall user experience.

One of the most notable updates is the introduction of live translation, which is now available to all users after being in Early Access in select countries. This feature allows for seamless conversations in four languages – English, French, Italian, and Spanish. What sets this apart is that the translation happens on-device, eliminating the need for network connectivity. By downloading the necessary language pack in advance, users can have real-time conversations in their preferred language, both hearing and seeing translations as needed.

Furthermore, users can now send messages, make audio and video calls, and share photos through Instagram directly from their Ray-Ban Meta glasses by simply using the voice command “Hey Meta.” Additionally, access to music apps like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Shazam is expanding beyond the US and Canada, allowing users to control their music experience effortlessly.

In the pipeline is the upcoming ability for Meta AI to identify objects in the user’s field of vision, enabling them to engage in conversations about what they see. For example, users can ask Meta to suggest a butter substitute in their fridge or a suitable wine pairing from a quick glance at their wine rack. This feature will be available in the US and Canada soon, with plans to roll out to more EU countries as well.

The Ray-Ban Meta range also introduces new Skyler frame and lens color options, such as the Skyler Shiny Chalky Gray with Transitions Sapphire lenses and the Skyler Shiny Black with G15 green or clear lenses. These additions showcase the continued evolution of Meta’s smart glasses, combining style with advanced functionality.

Overall, Meta’s latest updates demonstrate a commitment to innovation and user-centric design, making the Ray-Ban Meta glasses more intelligent and visually appealing than ever before.
