Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is generating buzz even before its official release, thanks to its innovative privacy display feature. This new technology combines hardware and software to black out the screen when viewed from an angle, providing users with added security and privacy. However, early reports suggest that there may be some issues with this cutting-edge feature.

Renowned leaker Ice Universe recently raised concerns about the display quality on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to his findings, text on the screen appears blurry compared to its predecessor, the S25 Ultra, even when the privacy display is turned off. This unexpected issue has raised questions about the overall display quality of the new flagship device.

In addition to the text clarity problem, users have also reported a decrease in brightness and duller colors on the S26 Ultra compared to the S25 Ultra. While some level of compromise is expected due to the nature of the privacy display technology, the extent of these drawbacks has caught many users off guard.

Ice Universe is currently investigating the issue further and has expressed his belief that this is not a minor matter. He suspects that the display change on the S26 Ultra is a result of its pixel structure and may not be an isolated case. Samsung is reportedly looking into the problem, but it remains to be seen whether it can be resolved through a firmware update or if it is inherent to the new hardware design.

Potential buyers are advised to compare the S26 Ultra with the previous generation in-store before making a purchase decision. While only a small percentage of S25 Ultra owners may be considering an upgrade, the display issue could impact the overall user experience for new buyers.

I reached out to Samsung for a comment on the matter but have not received a response yet. As the Galaxy S26 Ultra prepares to hit the market, all eyes will be on Samsung to address these display concerns and ensure that users get the best possible experience from their flagship device.
