Sean “Diddy” Combs has been able to communicate with his children since his recent arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. According to a source close to the family, the music mogul has managed to speak briefly to his family members and his children via phone. The insider revealed that Combs is very concerned about his kids and their well-being, especially considering that some of his children have no living parent available to them while he is incarcerated.
With three minor children and four out of seven children now without either parent available, Combs’ family is said to be in a state of crisis and shock following his arrest. The rapper is a father to three sons — Quincy, Justin, and Christian — and four daughters — Chance, Jessie, D’Lila, and Love. His late ex Kim Porter, with whom he shared Christian and twins Jessie and D’Lila, passed away in 2018. Combs also helped raise and eventually adopt Quincy, Porter’s son with Al B. Sure!.
The “I’ll Be Missing You” artist had son Justin with stylist Misa Hylton, daughter Chance with Sarah Chapman, and his youngest child, Love, with Dana Tran. The family has been relying on each other for support and turning to God for guidance in this challenging time, with friends staying strong for the sake of the rapper’s kids.
Combs was arrested earlier this month in New York following a grand jury indictment. He was taken into custody on charges of felony sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, the star remains in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while awaiting trial.
His next court hearing is scheduled for October 9th. Christian, who was seen at the arraignment reading a copy of his father’s indictment, was present when Combs was denied bail. The rapper turned to face his family members in the courthouse and placed his hand on his heart as a gesture of love and support.
Throughout this difficult time, Combs has been trying to stay connected with his children and ensure their well-being despite the challenges he is facing. As the legal process unfolds, the music mogul remains hopeful for a positive outcome and is relying on the support of his family and friends to see him through this ordeal.
