A series of random stabbings shook the Chinatown-International District in Seattle, Washington, as a maniac went on a stabbing spree, targeting nine innocent victims over a span of two days. The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, carried out the attacks within a four-block radius, leaving a trail of violence and chaos in the neighborhood.

The brutal stabbings resulted in four victims being rushed to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. As of Friday night, two of the victims remained in critical condition, while one was upgraded to satisfactory and another to serious condition. One victim, a 53-year-old man, suffered a severe neck wound and was in critical need of medical attention before receiving treatment.

Seattle police launched an intensive investigation, following a trail of blood left by one of the victims to track down the assailant. The suspect is believed to have stabbed five people on Friday and is also suspected of being behind four more stabbings that occurred in the same area on Thursday. Deputy Chief Eric Barden noted similarities in suspect descriptions and crime profiles, leading authorities to believe that the same man was responsible for the attacks on both days.

The police were able to apprehend the suspect based on witness descriptions and found him with a weapon nearby. The previous day, a 53-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, and a 37-year-old man fell victim to multiple stab wounds in the Chinatown neighborhood. Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell condemned the attacks, emphasizing the need for safety and security in the community.

Mayor Harrell expressed his commitment to enhancing safety measures in the Chinatown-International District, ensuring the protection of all residents, workers, and visitors. In a disturbing incident on Thursday night, a tenth stabbing was reported as an assailant attempted to steal a phone from a 60-year-old man sitting in his car. The victim managed to defend himself by warding off the knife attack with his hand.

The tragic events in Seattle serve as a stark reminder of the importance of community safety and vigilance in preventing senseless acts of violence. Authorities continue to investigate the motives behind the attacks and work towards ensuring justice for the victims and their families.
