A unique portrayal of William Shakespeare was featured in the debut episode of “SNL U.K.,” in a sketch that humorously targeted the most talked-about British film of this year’s awards season.

In “SNL U.K.’s” rendition of “Hamnet,” Shakespeare is depicted as a Gen-Z hipster returning from London to his devoted wife, played by Tina Fey, and their family.

“Dost thou not think I appear changed?” he inquires on his first visit home, adding, “I got a cunty little earring!”

Upon subsequent visits, he arrives on an electric scooter, carrying a tote bag with ‘Team Anne Boleyn’ and proudly displaying “me slutty little chain.”

“London hath changed thee,” affirms Fey’s character, Agnes Hathaway.

“Thou art in Stratford upon Avon, and I’ve been in London upon ketamine,” replies Shakespeare. “I’m like Charlie Xcx, sorry, Charlie 10 100 10. I’m in my glow up era, honey.”

Reflecting the film’s plot, Hamnet becomes ill after “taking the powder” from a new purse. Shakespeare reassures, “He’ll be fine. Tis but a K-hole.”

Following the “Hamnet” sketch, “SNL U.K.” satirized another cherished British icon in a skit where a Paddington Bear immersive experience unexpectedly releases a real bear among the guests.

“That was amazing. I’ve lost half my face,” remarks one participant. Another adds, “I always thought that three kids was a bit too many, and now I’ve got the optimum amount … none!”

“Perhaps hot glue-gunning the hat to the bear’s head made it more angry,” suggests Fay’s experience organizer. “I’m taking it to Broadway regardless.”

Studiocanal, which holds the rights to Paddington Bear and operates a Paddington experience in London, has previously sued the creators of “Spitting Image” for portraying the bear as a drug-using, foul-mouthed podcast host. It remains to be seen how they will respond to this latest depiction.
