Early Sunday morning, shots were fired in a River North parking lot, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Police officers patrolling the area heard what sounded like automatic gunfire around 2:36 a.m. The sound was followed by a white sedan speeding south across the LaSalle Street Bridge, as per initial reports.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered shell casings in a parking lot near 430 North LaSalle Street. Despite the evidence of gunfire, no victims were found at the scene, and no individuals sought medical attention for gunshot-related injuries at any nearby hospitals.

After reviewing surveillance footage, an officer identified the getaway vehicle as a white Audi. As of now, no arrests have been made, and it remains unclear who the gunman was targeting, if anyone.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were dissatisfied with the inaccurate information presented at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings.

Since then, our coverage area has expanded to include Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side areas. Despite this growth, our core mission remains the same: to deliver original public safety reporting with comprehensive context and detail that goes beyond what mainstream media outlets offer.
